Art Exhibit
Why an Art Exhibit?
Beginning with our Advent 2022 Exhibit, Restoration Church has proudly displayed art created by members of our church community to celebrate seasons such as Advent and Easter. Each exhibit provides the artists of our church a way to use their gifts and talents to worship the Lord and bless the church.
For each exhibit, the artists are asked to reflect on a particular theme and to create a piece of art as an act of worship. The artists are encouraged to pray and worship while they create, taking time to consider the beauty and truth found in the exhibit's key themes and chosen passages of Scripture.
Our goal is to display four art exhibits each year. An Easter exhibit in the spring, a Kids Ministry exhibit in the summer, a fall exhibit inspired by the Kids Ministry exhibit, and an Advent exhibit over Christmas.
We hope that whether you participate in creating a piece for our next exhibit or simply enjoy the artistic expression of others, you would be drawn nearer to the Lord and would be moved to worship.
Advent Art Exhibit
Christmas is right around the corner (almost), and I am excited to announce the upcoming Advent Art Exhibit.
This exhibit will be called “The Light of the World” and will focus on the four candles of Advent that represent hope, peace, joy, and love. As we light each candle on the four Sundays of Advent, we read a passage of Scripture and a short encouragement that is associated with that week's theme. I have included these below and encourage you to use one of these as your inspiration for this exhibit.
