The Need

We are looking for 31+ volunteers to step in and actively participate in our church's mission by serving in kids!

By God’s grace, many of our ministries are flourishing—so much so that several have outgrown the spaces they currently meet in. That’s why we launched the Rooted Campaign, and because of your generosity and faithfulness, new space for our kids is becoming a reality.

But a bigger space isn’t enough.

In the coming year, we will have room for more kids than ever before—but not yet the volunteers needed to serve them.

Serving in Restoration Kids is more than filling a spot on a schedule. It’s a meaningful way to participate in the mission of our church. Out of love for God, love for people, and a desire to make disciples, we teach and care for the next generation, trusting the Lord to work in their hearts.

We would love to invite you to step into this opportunity—to help create a place where kids can hear the gospel, be known, and grow in faith.

“Jump in and give it a try! You will not regret the joy that comes from sharing God’s love with the children.”

FAQ

  • Our greatest need is for classroom volunteers. With the new Kids space being built, we will have additional classrooms that we can open! Because of that, we will need volunteers in order to open up the additional classroom spaces and disciple even more kids!

  • The first step is to fill out a volunteer application. Once you do that, then a Restoration Kids Staff member will reach out to you to schedule a time to meet with you for your volunteer interview. You will then complete a Ministry Safe training and background check. Once you are trained on Restoration Kids ministry specifics, then you will start serving in a classroom!

  • Yes. We believe it is important for you to be a member of our church before serving with Restoration Kids. It is another safety measure that we have in place to make sure volunteers are known and vetted before serving with our kids. Check our website for information on when we will have our next Covenant Membership Class.

  • No! Our vision for our volunteers is to have a serve one, attend one mentality. Our team can help you think through creative solutions if you are wanting to know how that could work for your family. We very much care about your own discipleship as you step into discipling the next generation!

  • Volunteers arrive 30 minutes before the service time that they are scheduled to serve at. We meet in Kids Main and talk through the morning together, celebrate one another, and pray together. This prepares us to be ready to start receiving kids in the classrooms 15 minutes before the service time.

  • We believe that consistency is very important when it comes to serving with kids where true discipleship is taking place. Because of that, we believe serving weekly or biweekly is the best rhythm for creating relationships with our kids and their families. If you have a unique situation where that rhythm won’t work, then let us know! We can talk through other options for serving, too.

  • We have created a developmentally appropriate curriculum in both our Preschool Ministry and our Elementary Ministry. We supply the lessons, the supplies, the crafts, and everything else you may need. You will also receive a volunteer email on Thursdays that includes the lesson plan and curriculum for you so you can read through it and be prepared beforehand!

  • Yes! We have different areas of serving within Restoration Kids Ministry. Reach out and we can walk through the different areas with you!

  • Junior volunteers are volunteers who are 18 years old and younger, who are not members of the church, and who serve alongside their parent(s). Junior volunteers have to have a parent who is also serving and the expectation is that they are still attending church in addition to serving. We believe serving is a valuable part of a child’s discipleship, but not at the expense of attending Church or Elementary Ministry, depending on their age. If your child is interested, then please let someone on Restoration Kids Ministry staff know and we will give them the volunteer application to fill out. They will then need to be interviewed and trained before they can start serving alongside their parent(s).

We can share the gospel with even more kids in even more classrooms when we open up our new expansion. We invite you to join our team and be a part of what God has been doing so faithfully in this space!
